Mariyaan (English: The Man Who Never Dies) is an upcoming 2013 Tamil drama thriller film directed by Bharat Bala. The film stars actor Dhanush in the lead role with Parvathi Menon as the lead actress. Produced by Venu Ravichandran, the film has music by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by Marc Koninckx. The film revolves around a story of human survival adapted from a newspaper article of a reallife crisis event, when three oil workers from India were kidnapped and taken hostage in Sudan. The film is an emotional journey of a common man to an unknown place with the hope to come home and lead a better life.




Maryan is a film inspired by true events. It is a story of a spirited, young fisherman called Maryan, who had to leave his love and his home to a distant land. Its a film about power of love and the will to survive against all odds.
